Very little. This is a static publication with no accounts, forms, comments or advertising.
On this site
The pages are static files. Analytics is currently disabled. No analytics or advertising scripts run.The search and filter controls work entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere.
Audience analytics and your choice
When activated and accepted, Microsoft Clarity records page interactions to produce heatmaps and session recordings that help us understand navigation and reading. Microsoft receives usage and device data. Advertising storage is denied; we do not send a custom user identity. Global Privacy Control is respected.
A preference stored in your browser remembers an explicit choice for up to 180 days. Clarity is not loaded before consent, on local review builds, or after you decline. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not erase data previously received by Microsoft. See Microsoft Clarity’s privacy information.
Optional audience analytics
With your permission, Microsoft Clarity can help us understand reading and navigation through interaction recordings and heatmaps. You can read everything without accepting.
Analytics is disabled for this review. No Clarity tracking runs.
Hosting
The files are served by a hosting provider, which may keep ordinary server logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security and operation. Studio Chicane does not use those logs to identify readers.
Links elsewhere
Articles link to sources and to the Substack archive. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Embedded video
A few articles carried a YouTube video in their original publication. On this site the page shows a plain placeholder in its place. Opening the page does not contact YouTube or Google: no player, thumbnail or script is requested from them. Only if you press “Load video from YouTube” does your browser load the player from youtube-nocookie.com, and Google then receives your IP address and device information under its own privacy policy. Google describes that host as its privacy-enhanced mode. Without JavaScript, or if you prefer not to load the player, the placeholder is a plain link to the video on youtube.com.
